 Sprocket Sports L.L.C consisting of Jim & Loreen Evans, Pierce Hall, and Debra Schlachter started Excalibur Powersports August 1st 2002. We didn't get our first bike in inventory until the middle of August of that year. The rest, as they say, is history; history in the making that is!! We started in a 6700 square foot building housing Honda, Yamaha, and Kawasaki brands and soon added Suzuki and Alpha Sports. In May of 2003, we did our first expansion into the buildings next to us and grew into 30,000 square feet of showroom, parts, clothing, accessories, and service. In March 2005, we broke ground on our new 34,000 square foot building. Excalibur Powersports opened the doors of it's new Castle on Friday, October 28th, 2005 with a gala grand opening celebration. We look forward to your visit and hope we become your powersport destination.

 Giving Back. We here at Excalibur realize the importance of giving back to the motorcycling community. We have installed both an on- and off-road training facility for safety training. We are the only dealer or individuals that have taken on this task. The on-road training has been in action since last year (2004). We have taken over ownership of the training course, and it is now called Dragon Wheels. You can sign up for state-instructor run training at our facility 860-564-4223. The off-road training will hopefully be in place by the fall.

Jim Evans: Jim is the one you see running the day to day operations of the business. He is our Custom Painter and Pinstripper also. He has been an avid motorcyclist since a young age and is very active in the motorcycling community. He is a member of the AMA,GWRRA,GWTA, New London Motorcycle Club,CMBA, HRCA and other organizations. Jim, his wife Loreen, and Goliath (miniature pinscher) ride a Honda Goldwing. Jim has extensive experience in the insurance industry as he came from Progressive Insurance, where he was a corporate trainer and traveled the country doing motorcycle shows. His passion for customer service shows in the way he treats his customers and everyone at the dealership. Loreen Evans: Jim's wife Loreen is a retired scientist/pharmacist from Pfizer Global Research. She is the motivating factor and an integral part of the creative team at Excalibur. While Jim does the full paint schemes, Loreen adds her creative touches with hand-painted murals, pinstripping, windshield engraving, sandblasting, and embroidery. The engraving and blasting can also be done on plastic and chrome surfaces.(pictures of the work will be posted shortly). Loreen also creates custom embroidered t-shirts, sweatshirts as well as hand made silver jewelry. Jim and Loreen both have a passion and intense interest in the sport and the community. They have served in executive positions as well as active members in various clubs . Goliath: Goliath, Loreen and Jim's Miniature Pinscher dog (12lbs) has ridden over 70,000 miles tucked in Loreen's jacket. He has raised a considerable amount of money for charities such as: The Pediatric Brain Tumour Society The Pony Express Tour Delta Society Animal Shelters Food Shelters to name a few. Excalibur Powersports is a major Sponsor at Americade, the number one touring rally in the United States. Americade is held in Lake George, NY in June of each year. Excalibur Powersports is the sponsor for the Friday night festivities and Fireworks.

 Our Goal: Our goal at Excalibur is to give you a positive motorcyling and ATV experience. We want to bring to you the items that you have always wanted to see in a retail store. We ask that, you, our customers and friends, tell us what you want. And we will TRY to bring it to you. Our store is family friendly. We have a large screen TV in our comfortable waiting room (called the Dragons Den) and we try to stimulate your imaginations with our dragons, knights, and medieval theme. We want you to come and stay a while, chat with friends, and bring your friends. Excalibur is a destination for motorsports enjoyment, not just another store. Throughout the year, we will bring many activities to our store. Pig Roasts, BBQ's, Medieval themed sales..."can you pull the sword from the stone" ... all here waiting for you to enjoy!!
